Clair Barney passed away June 30, 1998, from injuries sustained in an automoile accident with his wife near Enterprise, Utah.

Clair was born July 1, 1939, in Escalante, Utah, to Lilly May Mooseman and Royal Barney. He was the 13th of 14 children.

Clair is survived by his wife, Esther Rae Barney of Springville; his seven children: Tyran Sorenson (Paul) of Hurricane; Danelle Jensen (Curtis) of Santa Clara; Suzette Lund (Scott) of Centerfield); Daren Barney (Raebeth) of Ivins; Holly Buehner (Robert) of St. George; Natalee Barney of St. George; Justin Barney of Salt Lake City.

He is also survived by his former wife, Dayna Snow Barney of St. George; three brothers and four sisters: Lendon Kay Barney, Las Vegas; Wendell Howard Barney, Spanish Fork; Terry Barney, Henderson; Juanita Barney Alvey Felix, Fern L. Barney Collings, Nina May Barney Reid, and Jean LaRae Barney Brown, all of Springville; his step-children: Mark Morgan (Suzy); Mike Morgan (Berty); Scott Morgan (Shirley); Marty Morgan (Lydia) Matthew Morgan (Michelle); Max Morgan (Becky) and his many adorable grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one son, Brandon Clair Barney. Burial was July 6, 1998.
